About The Author: Vicki Dean Mayhew is an award-winning author of two other children's books. How the Unicorn Got His Horn Back and Sea Shoes were both finalists in the NM-AZ Book Co-op children's picture book category, and Sea Shoes won first place in the children's picture book category of the National Federation of Press Women's Communications Contest.
