Leigh Caldwell was your regular Aussie mum from North Queensland until her family's world was shattered. When her son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, Leigh and her family chose to fight the disease with positivity, initiative, a sense of humour and the mindset to use the experience to help others in the same situation. Determined to make the best life possible for her son under the circumstances, this self-confessed blonde achieved the impossible and fulfilled his dreams of meeting Sir Richard Branson and going to his formal by helicopter.

By choosing to make the best of the situation, choosing to go for every opportunity, and making life better for others, Leigh and her family overcame one of their most challenging times.

Using that same focus, humour and strength, Leigh achieved her dream of creating a dance group for people with special needs - with no formal dance training or experience! From their personal achievements to the group's inspiring performances - including three concerts with Guy Sebastian, the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics and wowing the audience with Delta Goodrem - the award-winning Happy Feat has changed countless lives and captured the hearts of millions.
