Hometown Banking

A rich history lives in El Dorado, Arkansas. Part of that history is The First National Bank of El Dorado. Established in 1903, the Bank's original corporate documents have been preserved in this book. The contents of these documents and other information give a perspective to The First National Bank and its place in the development and history of El Dorado. This book is a result of gathering documents, conducting interviews and seeking help from friends and family who generously gave of their time. The author's initial interest in the development of the bank has been overshadowed again and again by the rich stories of the people who shaped it.
