Home in God's Country: A Novel, Not a Memoir

From sheep ranch to cattle ranch the story of the SC Ranch nestled beneath Abert Rim on the edge of the High Desert of Eastern Oregon continues. A sequel to The View From God's Country, Home in God's Country begins as Lytle's and Lottie Chandler Simms's granddaughter enters school in Lakeview, Oregon. Through her eyes, Lytle, Lottie, their son, Donald Simms, and his wife, Darlene Brown Simms, work through changes in community and rural life during post-World War II years, the 1950s and into the 1960s.

Although the story comes directly from the author's memories it is written as a novel, not a memoir.
