Death has been stalking Sandy for as long as she can remember. She's always looking over her shoulder fearing it might catch up with her before she wants it to. Hadn't a hit-and-run driver almost killed her when she was only three year's old? And what about those lovers who were murdered down at the Fox Hole Tavern? Asleep next door at the hatchery, she'd heard the shots and that was a bit too close for comfort. Then there were all the accidents she'd been having lately. Rusty nails in her bare feet. Jimmy Cain clobbering her with his pickaxe. And now something was in her eye--bark from the barn roof--or worse, a piece of glass. if things didn't shape up soon, she'd have to go see Old Doc Trav.
