Hockey Tryouts

"Hockey Tryouts" is the first book in the series "Hockey Player." Hockey Tryouts focuses on 14-year-old Nate Denning who is trying out for a AAA, Tier 1, hockey team. The book is an inspirational look at how Nate overcomes a size problem, an ongoing conflict between his mother and father, and peer bullying as he battles his way to chase his dream of being an elite hockey player. The story also looks at the stress young players face in trying out for an elite team. The book is about friendship, surviving bullying, and being resilient in the face of parent conflict, as well as a chasing a dream.
