English summary: The present volume dedicated to Franz Lebsanft comprises contributions to the historicity and culturality of the Romance languages demonstrating the broad range of current historical linguistics that is based on philological traditions. The contributions explain case studies on linguistic change in Romance-speaking countries together with methodological reflections on current paradigms of historical linguistics. By doing this they critically discuss older and newer positions within the field of historical linguistics. The volume shows how historical linguistics positions itself in the study of Romance languages as a field of study at the interface of philology and cultural studies by understanding and interpreting discourse, texts, and traditions as evidence for the socially and culturally acting human being.
