His Life and Our Life

This little book offers seven devotional meditations designed to answer two basic questions: What is the ultimate pattern for the life of man? By what power can a man become truly man and live as a true man should? The answer to the first is found in the historical life of Jesus, selected features of which are illuminated in Part One as “great rhythms” of timeless and dynamic relevancy, providing man of every period, culture, and country with the perfection he must strive to emulate. The strength needed for striving comes from God: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” This text from the Old Testament is the basis for Part Two. The whole volume is a source of deep and lasting inspiration for every reader, a treasure to own and to give.
