Heart Washed: A Journey of Grace

For almost a year, Robbie Baker had been aware that God was preparing her for something hard, but she had no idea what it would be. Two years after her conversion to the Catholic Church, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.

Robbie discovered that it was one thing to accept suffering as a theory, but actually living through the nuts and bolts of it was a lot harder. How we respond to the suffering, the hardships, even the ordinariness of life is up to us.

People take notice when you radiate joy in this world, especially when that joy shines in the midst of hardship and suffering. And such joy can only come from being right in the center of God’s will for us, from being exactly where He wants us to be, from trusting Him completely with the circumstances of our lives.
