Heart Get Ready

Carly's journey began with finding her one and only true love and ended with her love's early onset Alzheimer's disease.

Living the perfect life in a small ski resort town turned to imperfect when she was blindsided by her husband's early onset Alzheimer's disease diagnosis, something she knew nothing about.

In an effort to help herself, her soulmate and ultimately others, she struggled to learn anything and everything she could about this insidious disease. All the while facing monumental challenges with grace, fortitude and much needed humor, knowing her love and life partner had been given the ultimate death sentence. 

Her healthy and incredibly intelligent husband was living proof that Alzheimer's disease doesn't discriminate. It can happen to anyone at any time. However through it all, she remained steadfast and persistent as her undying love never faded. 

Carly desperately tried to grapple with eventually losing her husband without losing herself in the arms of grief and sorrow.
