Harlan's Haven

More than Harlan Granger's body is battered and bruised when he returns home from Afghanistan. Discharged due to an injury, he is struggling to find his way. Convinced his future will be in a wheelchair, he has to come up with a plan. The thought of seeing pity in his family's eyes would kill him. Keeping his injury a secret from his family gets harder as it seems someone is spying on his brother, or his brother's neighbor. Rilie Lazar, his brother's neighbor is determined to learn his secret. Her misguided plan to bring him back into the family fold has more than his temper heating up. Strange cars around town and accidents on the mountain road have Harlan wondering is it really his brother's bar that's at the root of the trouble or does Rilie have secrets of her own that have followed her to Colorado.
