Hannah's Story

Hannah Westlake and Gideon Hamilton were from solid generational Christian families who had been at odds with one another for generations. Once by marriage when death left one of each of their ancestors in need of a mate their families had become one.

Their grandfathers, several generations past, had become brothers by their surviving parent's remarriage. The boys grew to men, one family, but the depression tore the two families apart. Now Hannah's and Gideon's families remained distant from one another in civility living in Hamilton, Ohio. No one had tried to reconcile the breach as it was a tradition.

Hannah and Gideon hadn't planned to be their families' reconcilers but God had a plan to heal the breach that had actually been reconciled by their distant grandfathers before their tragic deaths. But Satan and his demonic servant, Relentless, wanted to maintain it, by keeping Hannah and Gideon apart. It should have been an easy assignment as Relentless was very skilled at using the fallen world to his advantage.

Ah, but Relentless realized, it would be just like the Creator to rob him of this minor victory. There would be angelic and spiritual battles ahead for him but Relentless needed to stay out of the crosshairs of his master's wrath. Relentless knew he could never harvest their souls, but it would give him and his unholy master great pleasure to rob them of any joy and testimony in their lives and keep their families divided.
