Guide to the Parasites of Fishes of Canada

The first three parts in this series dealt with (Part I, 1984) Monogenea and Turbellaria, (Part II, 1988) Crustacea, and (Part III, 1989) Acanthocephala and Cnidaria. Part IV provides practical keys for identification of the taxa of Trematoda represented in Canadian fishes down to the species level, accompanied by over 130 detailed line drawings of one species in each genus. Detailed generic descriptions and important distinguishing characteristics are included in the keys to the species. The volume also includes an index to parasites, an index of hosts, and a host-digenean parasite list, as well as a list of relevant research published by almost 350 scientists around the world.
