Gold Star Mother

Beatrice Fox, a recently widowed mother, receives word her son, Marine Sgt. Jimmy Fox, is Missing In Action in Vietnam. Confirmation of his death arrives a week later when two Marines knock on her door. When Jimmy's body arrives in Jasonville, his footlocker containing personal belongings, accompanies his remains. Several days after the funeral, Jimmy's mother finds the courage to enter her son's locker. She discovers mementoes of his childhood which cause flashbacks to his youth. When she finds a packet of letters, she learns of a love affair she was totally unaware. Gold Star Mother has an ending which will warm the heart.
