My favourite Fforde, and so suitable for women over 50! Blending boats (here it is barges and house boats) and romance in a convincing blend Katie Fforde makes you want to live by the canal and preferably in a house boat. Even if it is very much a feel-good-read, the language is good and the characters believable. I love read and re-read this book.
