God's Love as a Consuming Fire

The Bible describes God as a "consuming fire" in both the Old and New Testaments. Many people interpret this statement as something to be feared. The truth is, it is actually the opposite and refers to God's enormous love for us. This book provides evidence of God's attempt to reveal Himself as loving fire in the Old Testament and as Christ filling us with the Holy Spirit of fire in the New Testament. The End Times described in the Bible are actually the fulfillment of this consuming love of God for us. For the Believer, it is a glorious and joyous relationship that we enter into with God Himself. However, for those who choose to reject the presence of God in their life, this great act of blessing for them becomes a dark time of suffering and hopelessness.
