Cecilia D. Porter, a proud native of Atlanta, is the oldest of six children. From a young age, she embraced hard work and aimed to be a role model for her siblings. This determination led her to become the first in her family to graduate from college, earning a degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University. After two decades in the corporate world, she fulfilled her dream of becoming an entrepreneur.

Cecilia was married to Claude David Porter, Sr. for 43 wonderful years and is a mother to one child who is an educator. Following the loss of her husband, she turned her grief into a mission to enrich children's lives by building their self-esteem. Today, she joyously shares that her books are inspired by God and are meant to uplift young hearts everywhere.
