Glaubensbildung / Formation of Faith

English summary: Faith works in all freedom. So new horizons are opened and people learn to understand themselves and their world better. In Christianity the passing on of faith became a significant part of the process of formation in which knowledge of God, humanity and the world conditioned and drove each other on. Particularly in Protestantism there repeatedly arose from these impulses new forms of learning and processes of formation. Although these are theologically reflected and institutionalized in the church, they open themselves for educational responsibility and social work of formation. In this volume are to be found points of crystallization in protestant formation out of faith. First, the basic principles of the concept of faith formation are unfolded. Then, reflecting the diversity of European Protestantism, regional perspectives are introduced. Finally, extensive space is given to the various places and also ways of learning the formation of faith: from religious upbringing in the family to the academies, from aesthetic formation to intercultural learning. German description: Der Glaube wirkt in aller Freiheit. Dadurch eroffnen sich neue Horizonte, und Menschen lernen sich und ihre Welt besser verstehen. Im Christentum wurde die Weitergabe des Glaubens ein wesentliches Motiv der Bildung, in der Gottes-, Menschen- und Welterkenntnis einander bedingen und vorantreiben. Speziell im Protestantismus entstanden aus diesen Impulsen immer neu Lernformen und Bildungsprozesse. So sehr sie theologisch reflektiert und kirchlich institutionalisiert sind, offnen sie sich padagogischer Verantwortung und gesellschaftlichem Bildungshandeln. Kristallisationspunkte evangelischer Bildung aus Glauben finden sich im vorliegenden Band. Dabei wird zunachst das Konzept von Glaubensbildung grundsatzlich entfaltet. Sodann werden, der Vielfalt des europaischen Protestantismus entsprechend, regionale Perspektiven eroffnet. Einen breiten Raum nehmen schliesslich die unterschiedlichen Lernorte und auch Lernarten der Glaubensbildung ein: von der religiosen Erziehung in der Familie bis zu den Akademien, von der asthetischen Bildung bis zum interkulturellen Lernen.
