1898-1902: The British Army is at war in Africa. They fight the Boers, Dutch descended farmers who have been there for centuries. They kill the men, burn farms, and send surviving family members to open air prisons.  At the same time the Royal Army is scouring the western US to buy horses and mules to support their troops. 

General Pearson's Ship The War tells the story of a stranded Afrikaaner and his American friends trying to act, react, gain profit, seek revenge in turbulent times.
