Beskrivelse
Jessie Howard never knew her father; he died before she and her twin sister were born, but when she and her partner Trip become engaged she becomes curious about the missing half of her family.
Her mother has rarely spoken about the man and offers little information. Fortunately, Jessie is a good investigator. She quickly decides to go on the hunt. Using all her skills and the resources of her employer; the investigative agency Dillard and Ramos Jessie learns more than she had ever imagined.
Her search leads to secrets and cover-ups that could end the political career of a well-known Senator and Presidential candidate.
While her own personal search is compelling it is not the only case she must deal with.
Anton Miller has hired Dillard and Ramos to locate his missing wife. He said she had taken off with her friend and never returned. That wasn't the worst part; she had drained their bank account of three hundred thousand dollars. He wants his money back.
Jessie is certain she could help but when his wife's friend is found murdered she realizes the case has become about much bigger issues. It has also become deadly.
