Gaucho poetry

In 1872, in Argentina, La Pampa, a very unique situation was experienced. José Hernandez poetically tells us how this man from the Pampa lives.

In the first part of Martín Fierro, the entire struggle and protest against the situation experienced by the gaucho, the prototype of the man of the Argentine Pampa, is expressed. It was through his poetry that he achieved a great echo for his proposals and his most valuable contribution to the cause of the gauchos.
