Gardening the Heart

Gardening the Heart is a book of forty devotions and one short story for women who want faith to be rooted in God and nourished by what it means to be female. As we invite Jesus in, as we learn from Scripture and Christian tradition, together with Christ we tend the garden of the heart so it becomes a place of rest and refreshment for us to enjoy, as well as a welcoming place for those we love, and even for the stranger.

All Scripture is God-breathed, authoritative for thought, word and action, serving as the bedrock for faith. These devotions build on that bedrock and offer an invitation: Meditating on them will take you through a process of reflection focused on caring for the garden of your own heart. As you read and relax, let the Holy Spirit weed, prune and till its soil. My prayer is that you will find new places in your heart for faith to grow and flourish, sending its shoots into a world that is then blessed by the fruit of your spiritual labor.
