"From Victim to Victory" offers a captivating snapshot of what it was like to grow up in the 1950s as part of a German immigrant family in a small Canadian community. Margarete Ledwez' story, however, is laced with a dark undercurrent. As a child, Dyslexia complicated her school days, while her nights were filled with stomach-churning fear of a father who sexually abused her. This book was written in part as a commitment to seeking closure and healing, but also to give hope to others who are, or have been, sexually abused-and to encourage them to begin their own healing journey.
