When tragedy strikes her quiet home in Bellaneau, Quistix, an elf blacksmith loses everything the night a bandit invades in search of something called "the Illuminator". After months of crushing loneliness, disheveled Quistix wants to rise from the ashes of her torched life and seek revenge on the man who took everything from her. A wounded wyl, a hunted esteg, and a child-like dragonling soon join her on her trek, banding in a riotous misfit crew.
