With his captain Samantha and several friends missing, it is left to Serendipity's pilot Gunther to take charge of the ship's depleted crew and initiate a desperate search. But with no clues and an infinite number of universes to consider, where will they even begin?

The obvious place is the mysterious underground city on the moon below that Samantha and the others were exploring before a strange phenomenon swept in and they disappeared. Hoping that the same thing won't happen to them, Gunther puts together a makeshift team, and they head down to explore. But as they search the caverns and caves beneath the surface more deeply, they are confronted by a stark and terrifying truth. Something truly devastating happened to the people who once lived here. Have Samantha and the others met the same fate?

As Gunther and his friends gradually gather the pieces of the puzzle, every answer seems to create many more questions. And all the while, someone-something-is watching them, biding its time. But when it acts, it will be swift, unexpected and brutal.
