First Murder

A detective for less than a day, Tony de Luca is summoned by his new partner, veteran investigator Ray Bankston to an address in Highland Park in the early morning hours. Much loved Dee Fredrickson's brutal murder, his first, seems unsolvable. They've got no science, nothing even resembling a motive, and no suspects. But under Ray's watchful eye and direction they begin to peel back the layers as they get into the lives of Dee's best friends, the 'Go Girls'. With dogged determination Tony and Ray grab a thread...a liquor fuelled escapade on their trip to LA they year before ended badly. The kid rooming with Dee's son might have been out there at the time. Could there possibly be a connection?
