First Corinthians

The foremost problem of the Corinthian church was that their focus was wrong. It was misplaced. That fact is seen in every problem they had, most significantly in their problem with unity. They were focusing on themselves, on other people, and on human wisdom, rather than on Christ and the cross. How much of a difference would it make in your life if you learned this basic truth that the focal point of Christianity and the Christian life-therefore of the Christian himself-must be Christ and His cross, "For the message of the cross is ... the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18), and that Christ is the key to every problem?
