Most of us get caught up in the narrative that we are in fact a product of our environment, but Lexington Rae very quickly decides that she will create the environment in which she becomes a product of. After experiencing unthinkable childhood trauma, Lexington meets Deandre and falls in love in a way that she never imagined possible after all of the pain she's experienced. Deandre is a good man with bad boy habits and naturally, Lexington follows his lead. She keeps a strong mind and cold heart but when things go left, that cold heart shatters. Life is moving too fast and she's too caught up in the street life she and Deandre have created for themselves for her to realize that she is following in her mothers footsteps. The same footsteps from her childhood that she wanted so desperately to erase. If Lexington wants to create a better life for herself, she's going to have to heal those childhood traumas before they become her destiny as an adult.
