Zara:

Life has a sick sense of humor. One minute, I'm arguing with my mobster ex while dripping wet in nothing but a towel. The next, he's dead on the floor, and I'm naked, vulnerable, and at the sole mercy of the most dangerous man in New York City.

I've heard the rumors that all the mafia families bow to Creed Ferraro, but I never expected him to drag me into their world.

Creed blames me for his brother's death, and now I'm also a witness to his violent crime.

Creed is unpredictable, though.

I should be terrified of him, but he killed my ex to save my life.

Not only is she responsible for setting me and my brother up, she's also seen too much. One wrong word from her lips, and we're both dead or serving a life sentence.

I can't let her go, but keeping her close is dangerous - for both of us, especially since she's hiding secrets from me that may start a mafia war in New York City.

The more time I spend with Zara, though, the harder it is to remember why she's a threat.

That's why I make her a deal to keep her by my side.

The only way she gets to live is if she agrees to become my wife.
