Feathered Bliss

When Zan proposed to Ruby, everything was wonderful. She was in love, and it was time to tell the world - even if it was still illegal for them to be together. She'd fix that - a simple petition to the court and it would be solved. But things aren't always that simple, especially when Zan thinks a joining would be better for them instead. He's been making a lot of the decisions lately, without consulting her. When he takes her to his village, she's confronted with the possibility that they aren't meant to be together. Zan's jealousy is out of control, the leader of the village is paying her a little too much attention, and nobody is asking her what she wants. Ruby isn't sure of anything anymore, especially as her desires are getting stronger for something she can't have.
