Charlie had to take care of himself and his father. At the age of seventeen he meets the dog Radar and her elderly master Howard Bowditch. He starts working for Mr. Bowditch and grows a deep relationship to Radar. One day Bowditch dies and Charlie finds a cassette tape he has left for him telling him an unbelievable story about a secret portal to another world…
