Beskrivelse
Brian O'Brien, a Miami police sergeant, becomes an inadvertent hero while saving a man and his daughter in a canal car accident. The man is a politician, Carlos Luis Bentincore, who is favored to become the next president of Colombia, South America. The grateful candidate bonds with his rescuer and young family, but O'Brien's celebrated moment in the spotlight is short lived. The "accident" was in reality an assassination attempt. Bentincore is the target of a sinister White House scheme to place a puppet government into the Colombian presidency. The feds objective now is to use O'Brien to damage Bentincore's character and keep him from winning the election. They will stop at nothing; O'Brien is imprisoned on bogus charges and his relationship with Bentincore draws him into a web intrigue that involves eco-terrorism, sexual seduction and the abduction of powerful federal officials. While incarcerated O'Brien realizes he must save himself. He escapes from federal prison armed only with his determination and a plan to expose those framing him.
