Ethiopian Transitions

Historian and researcher Kebede Haile analyses his native Ethiopian community in America and abroad, providing an exploration for poor ethnic relations, including what he deems as the inappropriate use of politics among both supporters and opponents of the Ethiopian government. The book, written in both English (Part 1) and Amharic (Part 2), gives hints of how socio-political relationships can be improved, why social and political institutions have deteriorated, as well as how to fix them. He has addressed the universal difficulties encountered ranging from social, politics, sports, to the role religion plays in minimizing division. He examines the role that the community plays in civic life and the importance of character and culture in his own experience across America.
