Life in Europe and the USA seems to be quiet and easy: No wars, no tyranny, no poverty. But if you look behind the curtain, then you will find a constant struggle. While we believe in democracy and freedom, too much freedom is about to destroy democracy as anarchy only plays in the hands of a minority; while we all believe things will only get better, the middle class is on the verge of disappearance; while we all consider that new technologies will improve our lives, we only begin to understand that we have to handle them with care unless we do not want to replace one problem with another; and while more and more try to find salvation from earthly problems in religion, we understand that religion is not the solid rock it pretends to be and is often misused for personal interests. Jack Eden takes a look at today's economy, society, technology and religion and comes to the conclusion that we have to be careful. Life isn't easy.
