Beskrivelse
Jamie, 12 and his brother Al, 14, having returned to London. Are evacuated again after a V1 bombing and an Aircraft strafing. Too close to home.
They continue their escapades. First in Wales and then in Sussex, Southern England. They are billeted with a Retired Army Colonel, who has a penchant for animals, both dead and alive.
The boys find themselves being stalked by an avenging Welshman, who is convinced that they are criminals.
They mix with top military brass at times to help them combat the enemy.
Jamie's spy catching skills come to the fore again, with the help of a classmate, who he had previously helped to rescue from abductors.
After celebrating victory in Europe, he successfully emigrates to Australia.
