End of Days: From Rapture to New Heaven and Earth

Everything that has a beginning also has an ending. And unless our world is eternal, it must come to an end of necessity. But Scripture teaches that only God is eternal and self-existent and that all else emanated from his creative power, including the universe, so our world will end. But when will this happen? Will it be in ten, or a hundred or a thousand years? And how will it happen? Will there be an apocalyptic event that brings all life to an end? These questions have intrigued humanity from time immemorial. Every generation has had two groups, one who believed that theirs would be the one to see the end of the world and the other who cried out against fear-mongers and doomsayers. But do we have to live in uncertainty about where we are in time and what the future holds? The answer is No. The Creator of time and space and all therein has given us a timeline from the foundation of this present age to the end of this world, and he has filled in specific events and happenings that will serve as guideposts to keep us on track and in a state of watchfulness so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming (1Jn.2:28). In this booklet, the author presents a brief and elementary study of biblical eschatology through sermons preached at Calvary Worship Centre with the hope that it would present the material in a more user-friendly manner than is found in contemporary texts on systematic theology. You will be able to obtain a bird's-eye view of events from the church's Rapture to the arrival of the new heaven and earth (Rev.21:2), and to this end, order your walk circumspectly so that you can be a part of that new world order.
