Seema Shama, an economist by training and educationist and sociologist by choice, has studied Indian women in historical context very thoroughly. She has many outstanding books to her credit. Womens studies, communication and mass media et., are her areas of specialization. Kanta Sharma is a sociologist and researcher in her own right. She has been associated with social work, with concentration on womens issues. Currently she is recently engaged with a research project on womens studies.
