Eastern Structures No. 24

The world's premier publisher of Asian forms in English, Eastern Structures picks up where Contemporary Ghazals left off, publishing English-language examples of the Middle Eastern form, but now in addition to Korean sijo and Japanese forms such as tanka and renga-rendered exclusively in the 5-7-5-7-7 syllabic structures. Issue 24 features the ghazals of Myles Gordon, John Baglow, Emma Lee, Gail Foster, Mace Hosseini, Alex Lubman and others; the sijo of Sarah Taylor, Corey Bryan and Gareth Writer-Davies; the tanka of Lee Clark Zumpe, Edward Baranosky and Jerome Berglund; and the sedoka of Corey Bryan. The issue also pays tribute to the late poet Norma Jenckes (1943-2022).
