Divisive

The Connors are your normal, dysfunctional family. Carolyn, the mother, is a hard drinking, anti-mommy type of gal. Her seventeen-year old daughter Elizabeth is a snarky, Goth dressing rebel. Twelve-year old Emily is the peacemaker for the family, but she hides personal problems of her own. Enter Dennis Rask - a charming, charismatic rogue who insinuates himself into their lives, professing to be the man who can unite them as a family. What the Connors don't realize is Rask views them as a game - one he has played three times in the past - with no survivors. Divisive begins with Detective Frank Bostick investigating a domestic disturbance where Emily is found hanged to death, Elizabeth tried to overdose herself, and Carolyn has attacked Rask with a knife - all on the same night. From there, the story is told through flashbacks and present time events - leading up to an unforgettable conclusion.
