An impossible-towering column of energy appears in downtown Los Angeles threatening the city, its occupants, and possibly the world.

Now humanity, unknowingly, finds itself reliant on a small cohort of scientists, politicians, and soldiers, racing against fear of the unknown to uncover the nature, purpose, and origin of the looming threat - before it's too late.

But scientist Dr. Adam Williams, struggling with the known laws of physics and the otherworldly entity before him, fights for understanding as calls for action mount.

For Charlie and his dog, Scout, the blazing entity just outside their downtown loft, has torn artist and dog from their solitary life and thrust them into direct contact with the impossible.

Scientist, artist, and soldier alike, find themselves navigating fear, curious effects, broken laws of physics, the sewers of the city, and a deadly compulsion to enter the unknown.

The race is on to understand the mysterious entity and hopefully save humanity.
