Arnold "the Assassin" Nunnely is the best of the best when it comes to doing oppositional research for political candidates.He provides the dirt, real or manufactured. A campaign for the United States Senate has gotten especially nasty. Then two weeks before the election, Nunnely is shot and killed at a bus stop in the notorious H Block of Boston, Massachusetts. The Boston Police believe Nunnely was the innocent victim of a gang-related killing and are paying little attention to the investigation.Nunnely's estranged daughter believes her father was the target. She hires Frank Kelly to find out what really happened. Kelly sees firsthand the challenges the police face and the residents of a poor neighborhood endure as he digs into the world of political tricks, campaign finance abuse, and the lust for power at the highest levels of the United States.
