Christopher James--a disgraced and scandalized reporter--would like nothing more than to get away from everything. But his latest assignment at The Tattler, a low-budget tabloid in Roswell, NM, becomes far more than he bargained for when his informant is murdered, and all signs point to an otherworldly culprit. As James follows the evidence, he uncovers a vast conspiracy too incredible to be believed: the origins of the UFO mania that has swept the nation, the secret fate of Nikola Tesla's lost research, and a dark coalition between the highest reaches of the Federal bureaucracy and a very alien agenda.
