Defeating Malaria in Asia, the Pacific, Americas, Middle East and Europe is a technical publication authored by the World Health Organization under the umbrella of the Roll Back Malaria Progress and Impact Series. It consists of a briefing for policy-makers and its companion document, a detailed analytical report that takes stock of the malaria burden outside the African region, reviews progress that has occurred over the past decade and sheds light on the most urgent challenges for malaria control and elimination in affected regions outside Africa. The brief highlights outstanding challenges and formulates recommendations for the way forward. It is intended for high-level decision-makers in governments, as well as for donor organizations and partners in the global malaria community.
