28 December 2022. After a year of brutal warfare from Afghanistan to Ukraine, forcing record numbers to flee their homes, the world needs peace in 2023 "more than ever", said the UN Secretary-General, in his New Year message.

Urgent news: there are many practical and important international projects - from stopping conflicts, terrorism, violence and floods, to providing drinking water and good health for all - which people want to start immediately, in order to finish the tasks in several months.

Very good news: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pope Francis, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo work really hard for peace.

And, the usual very good news - there are many talented children in classical music, languages, mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography, and other areas.
