Beskrivelse
Another month has flown by, as we look towards the start of autumn, on 1st September. Time is really flying by, right?
Well, if we look hard enough, we still can find some good news: 175 years ago, on 10 August 1846, the Smithsonian Institution was created - now it is a famous group of museums and research centers. The institution is named after its founding donor (17 years after his death), British chemist James Smithson.
Also, something encouraging: computer tests of attention and the ability to focus revealed that older adults actually improved in two of three key brain functions, at least until their mid-to-late 70s.
And, the usual very good news - there are many talented children in classical music, languages, mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography, and other areas.
In this World Monthly Report, which is the 58th in total, we included the most relevant news, in a balanced approach, usually directly from the source, to help the general public better understand the realities around us. Being well and correctly informed is a sine qua non requirement for everybody, in order to make the right decisions for the future. Enjoy this global, comprehensive, useful and timely World Monthly Report, and be optimist!
