Date of the Weak

The premise of this sketch is a television show called "Date of the Weak" in which two "sportscasters," a male and a female, provide a play-by-play of a dinner date between Mike and LuAnne. Using typical sportscaster language, they assess every action and response of the dating couple. Much of the time Mike doesn't "execute on the fundamentals," while LuAnne makes all the "points." A major turnaround, "What a swing in momentum!" brings a delightful end in which Mike scores an "amazing recovery" and shows his "champion" form. This very fun sketch takes a lighthearted look at the challenge of dating, but also thematically warns against judging by "appearances."
