Beskrivelse
At the isolated, Crossroads Cafe, Jake, a revenge-filled, retired man, meets Tommy, a troubled teenager who was recently suspended from school for continued misbehavior. Jake is searching for the teen, who, in a drunken stupor, killed his family in a car accident several years before and believes Tommy can help him find the boy. As weeks pass, the long-term focus changes for them both. New priorities blossom and although in the end the culprit is found, the original purpose of the search fades into the background. There are two interesting supporting characters - Tommy's old, sick, grandfather who owns the caf and the boy's tutor, an attractive, retirement age woman. And, of course, the caseworker from Family Services who tries her best to put Tommy into foster care.
