High vaccination rates in Israel face a surge in covid-19 in August 2021, and high vaccination rates in Taiwan1 (June 2022) also face a surge in covid-19. This sends a signal to the world that we should have a complete and effective strategy to control the coronavirus, especially the Omicron variant, and not just rely on vaccination. Peter Chew's low-cost strategy for high-infection countries is to make covid-19 from a pandemic to endemic. The strategic goal is to use the low-cost tracking of existing super spreaders to reduce high viral load transmission or change high viral load transmission to low viral load transmission to prevent hospitalization and death.
