City Detective Baker asks Mitchell Adams, a social worker in private practice, to counsel a suicidal disabled black man named Lonnie who's been arrested for counterfeiting and armed robbery. Counterfeit is the follow-up book to Interrogation, second in the Mitchell Adams series of four novels. Stand-alone novels by this author include Prodigal and The Nostradamus Society, both for release in 2024.
