Beskrivelse

When do the divine or natural laws fail, and where does the authority of justice norms establish itself? If the 'Goddess of Justice' is in a completely different political society, how should she evoke a common and universal moral concept? These are the questions raised by Foster in this book. Starting from this point, Foster believes that the pursuit of a universal justice without considering individual personality, and the pursuit of a rationality separated from the experience of specific people, implies a certain danger. Therefore, to solve the above problems, Foster discusses the different contexts in which the concept of 'justice' is proposed. He believes that the distinction of 'contexts of justice' helps to clarify these normative conditions, and only under certain conditions can a just society be constructed. Therefore, Foster believes that a theory of justice is linked to context but transcends context, and a society that can integrate these contexts is a just society.
